African Union Celebrates Twenty Years of Its Establishment in Maputo

Political and diplomatic specialists are meeting in Maputo this week to reflect, in a round table, on the situation of the Mozambican diaspora and on the African continent, simultaneously with the launch of the celebrations of the act of constitution of the African Union started in Ethiopia.

The Maputo meeting was inaugurated by Verónica Macamo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique, Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao Director of the African Institute for the Development of the Diaspora, among other national entities.

The Maputo meeting will also address issues such as politics and cooperation, regional integration and the relationship between African peoples and the diaspora.
